If there’s anything Las Vegas is known for, it’s throwing one hell of a party, and the Fourth of July is no exception. Downtown Las Vegas is priming for a whole load of exciting activities for this upcoming holiday. If you’re thinking about celebrating Independence Day in Sin City, here are a few special things to look forward to in downtown Las Vegas.
Free Concert by Eli Young Band
If you love country music, then you’ll appreciate this one. The country sensation, Eli Young Band, will be performing live on Fremont Street Experience on July 4, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. on the 3rd Street stage!
Known for their songs “Love Ain’t,” which has gone #1 on Billboard and Mediabase charts, platinum-selling “Drunk Last Night,” double-platinum “Even if it Breaks Your Heart,” and multi-platinum “Crazy Girl,” Eli Young Band is a sure treat for downtown Las Vegas visitors looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday.
Oh, and did we mention it’s free? It seriously doesn’t get any better than that. If you’re looking for a good time that won’t break the bank this July 4, the Eli Young Band concert is exactly what you need.
UFC Fan Experience
Fans will get to enjoy meet-and-greets, autograph signings, live podcast sessions and more with the biggest names in UFC. There will also be open workouts and press conferences which the public can attend. The UFC Fan Experience is a free event and all ages are welcome, so it’s a great way to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with the family.
Star Spangled Treasure $5K Slot Tournament
Taking place from July 1 to July 3 is the Star Spangled Treasure 5K Slot Tournament at The D. If you’re new to Vegas or casinos, then you might want to check out this event for a real Sin City experience.
Never played in a slot tournament before? Not a problem! This activity requires almost no skills to play since all you have to do is press the spin button. This way, everyone gets equal chances of winning.
So, how do you win? A slot tournament is all about gaining points. Whenever you spin and win, you receive a point. The person with the most points at the end gets the prize. All you have to do is register for the tournament, feverishly press that spin button like it’s the last thing you’ll ever do, then wait to hear if you’ve won $5,000. Happy Fourth of July, indeed!
Live Viva Vision Light Shows
As always, everyone in downtown Las Vegas will be able to enjoy Viva Vision shows for free. To celebrate the Fourth of July this year, there’ll be a digital fireworks display that will leave you in absolute awe. Without exaggeration, it’s so mesmerizing you’d swear you were watching the real deal.
Furthermore, light shows featuring the hottest names in music like Steve Aoki, Green Day, The Chainsmokers, The Killers, and Tiesto will be projected on the biggest video screen in the world. As you can tell, we don’t mess around here in downtown Las Vegas.
If you’re hanging out at Fremont Street Experience, it’s impossible to miss the iconic zipline stretching from one end of the street to the other. In fact, ziplining downtown is almost a requirement before you’re allowed to leave, so start pumping yourself up now!
SlotZilla is the world’s largest slot machine and launching point for this world-famous ziplining experience. It’s a Vegas-exclusive zipline where you get to soar down the Fremont Street Experience pedestrian promenade, past hotels, bars, casinos and the downtown crowds below.
You can fly two ways with SlotZilla: on the zipline, which costs $25, and the zoomline, which costs $45. The prior starts at 77 feet up and you get to float high above downtown Las Vegas in a seated position. With the latter, you launch from 114 feet above and soar down Fremont Street Experience superhero-style.
More than two million people have experienced SlotZilla! What’s your excuse?
SlotZilla was voted the “Best Extreme Adventure,” “Best Amusement Ride” and “Best Family Attraction” in the Best of Las Vegas Awards.
