SlotZilla guests recently rose to the occasion, literally, by flying on the zip line attraction at Fremont Street Experience to benefit St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.
During the most recent SlotZilla Charity Challenge, on Aug. 10, 2015 (noon to 6:00 p.m.), $13,380 was raised for the Las Vegas nonprofit.
The SlotZilla Charity Challenge was done in partnership with CBS radio station X107.5. The station did a live remote at the base of the SlotZilla take-off tower throughout the day.
Special thanks go out to the team at the Dave, Mahoney & DK Morning Show at X107.5 for their support of this fundraising effort. Hosts Dave Farra, Jason Mahoney and Daena Kramer (DK) took to the skies on SlotZilla and made sure word got out about the SlotZilla Charity Challenge.
“We are honored to have partnered with The Dave, Mahoney and DK Morning Show for their last charity event in Las Vegas before their move to Mix 96.5 in Houston,” said Jeff Victor, President of Fremont Street Experience. “So many people came down to fly on SlotZilla and support St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. We ended up breaking the largest weekday SlotZilla Charity Challenge record with $13,380 and all of that money will be going to help the children at St. Jude’s Ranch as they get ready to go back to school.”
Several local celebrities attended a kick-off for the event, including UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin (pictured above) and BMX rider and TV personality, T.J. Lavin.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children serves abused, abandoned and neglected children and families. Children are placed at the Ranch when their parents or caretakers are unable or unfit to adequately care for them.

To-date, the SlotZilla Charity Challenge series has raised nearly $100,000 for charities in Las Vegas.
