Legendary band Cheap Trick will headline NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas with the 12th Annual RaceJam concert at Fremont Street Experience on March 7, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. The concert is free, open to the public and takes place on the Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street stage (near The D Las Vegas, 4 Queens and Fremont casinos).
Cheap Trick will rev up crowds with iconic songs including, “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” “Dream Police” and other fan favorites.
The free concert is part of the 12th Annual RaceJam 2015, March 5-8, 2015, a four-day event celebrating NASCAR Weekend with free nightly entertainment and official NASCAR merchandise booths.
NASCAR Weekend features the Kobalt 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on March 8 and the Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on March 7, both at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Cheap Trick may be one of the most covered bands of all time. Since the ’70s, they’ve blended elements of pop, punk and metal in a way that’s catchy and recognizable.
Let’s pause for a moment to rock.
Anyone familiar with Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” will note that Cheap Trick wrote and performed the theme song.
Cheap Trick has done more than 5,000 performances, has sold 20 million records, scored 29 movie soundtracks and has garnered 40 gold and platinum recording awards.
Their most recent release, aptly titled, The Latest, has won the band glowing reviews worldwide and continues their legacy of more than 35 years in the music industry.
The band has most recently performed their Dream Police album in its entirety along with an orchestra in select cities across the U.S.
Again, our concert by Cheap Trick is free of charge, and parking is available at the Fremont Street Experience garage located at Carson and 4th Street.
Join us March 7, 2015 and enjoy one of the biggest rock bands of all time, free, beneath the world’s biggest video screen.
NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE RR HALL OF FAME…YET…
Cheap Trick was ranked number 25 in VH1′s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.” Ever.

Hmm is anyone else having problems with the images on this blog loading?
I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
How come on your calender you don’t have any more shows advertised? We always sem to miss any great concerts because of lack of advance notices. Love Freemont and the GN, but dang, a little notice would be nice. Thanks
Sorry! We post the show schedules as soon as they’re finalized. Sometimes, that means late in the game. Sorry about that, and we’re always trying to do better.
