Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada Receives $10,000 From SlotZilla Fundraising Effort

On Oct. 30, 2014, Fremont Street Experience set aside 100% of its SlotZilla zip line ticket sales (from noon to 7:00 p.m.) as a donation to Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds to provide breast health education, screening and treatment services.

The fundraising effort resulted in a donation of $10,000 to Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada.

Stephanie Kirby, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada, came by Fremont Street Experience to take part in the timeless tradition of “holding up a massive check” on Nov. 21, 2014. The over-sized check (everything’s bigger in Las Vegas) was presented by Fremont Street Experience President Jeff  Victor (below, left) and Tom Bruny, Director of Marketing for Fremont Street Experience.

Careful, this could result in the biggest paper cut, ever.

Jeff Victor commented, “We are excited to be making this donation as a way to give back to the community, specifically Susan G. Komen, which does great work addressing breast cancer on so many levels.”

Since 1982, Susan G. Komen has spent about $1.5 billion for breast cancer education, research and advocacy.
