Fremont Street on New Year’s Eve is a one-of-a-kind spectacle. We should know, we’re in the spectacle business. Here are some frequently asked questions about downtown’s biggest night of the year, New Year’s Eve.

Q. How do I get into the event?

A. Entry into the Fremont Street Experience mall on New Year’s Eve requires an event wristband. Those who purchase tickets online can either print their ticket at home or receive a bar code on their smartphone. On New Year’s Eve, guests can take their ticket or bar code to any entrance gate where a wristband will be issued.

Q. How can I get tickets on the day of the event?

A. On Dec. 31, tickets will be available for purchase at Fremont Street Experience entry gates, the SlotZilla ticket office and at Fremont Street Experience member casinos.

Q. How much are tickets?

A. Tickets are $45, plus taxes and fees.

Q. Are there discounts available?

A. No, sorry.

Q, If I purchase tickets online, but don’t get a confirmation e-mail, what do I do?

A. Please call 702-678-5780 or e-mail with specifics.

Q. Can I still fly SlotZilla on New Year’s Eve?

A. Sure. There will be special hours of operation, so check back for details.

Q. What bands are playing on New Year’s Eve?

A. We’ve got 11 bands on four stages (including an EDM stage). Check out the schedule on our calendar of events.

Q. The NYE ticket prices includes the “LET.” What is that?

A. LET stands for “live entertainment tax,” a mandatory Nevada tax that’s 9% of the admission charge to a venue where live entertainment is provided. Translation: It’s out of our hands, sorry.

Q. What’s the “processing fee”?

A. That’s an administrative charge in the amount of $3.50 per ticket. We proudly support Capitalism and a free market system.

Q. When does Fremont Street Experience close to non-ticketed guests on New Year’s Eve?

A. On New Year’s Eve at Fremont Street Experience, the pedestrian mall closes to the public at 5:00 p.m. Gates open for ticketed guests with valid event wristbands at 6:00 p.m.

Q. Is there an age limit for the New Year’s Eve party?

A. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Q. Are there restrictions on what I can bring into the event?

A. Yes, there are special restrictions in place for New Year’s Eve: No strollers, no packaged beverages, no coolers, no chairs, no backpacks/luggage/bags, no masks, no weapons, no glass/aluminum. Also, no amplified sound or signs of any kind will be permitted.

Q. Where should I park?

A. One of the most convenient parking options downtown on New Year’s Eve is the Fremont Street Experience parking garage. The entrance is on 4th Street, off Carson. On New Year’s Eve, there will be a flat fee of $20 (starting at noon). Learn more.

Q. Which Las Vegas road closures happen and when on NYE?

A. You are wise to ask. Here’s some information that will prove useful.

Q. Are there fireworks downtown on New Year’s Eve?

Yes! In addition to our onstage pyrotechnics and Viva Vision fireworks (the most vibrant and realistic they’ve ever been due to the upgrade of our Viva Vision canopy), there are also fireworks at the Plaza Hotel & Casino at midnight. Insider tip: If you stand in the right spot, you can view the fireworks at The Strat, too.

Q. Any other small print I need to know about?

A. Event is rain or shine. All sales are final, and there are no refunds or cancellations (no exceptions).
