Fremont Street Experience – Downtown Down Under

Fremont Street Experience has partnered with the National Rugby League (NRL) to present Fan Fest, Downtown Down Under. The free, interactive, fan event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 29th at 6:00 PM at the iconic 3rd Street Stage. Players, coaches, and mascots from four of the top rugby teams in the world will walk the red carpet and interact with fans taking pictures and signing autographs at the historic Las Vegas destination.

The event precedes this year’s historic NRL season opener, the first ever to be held in the United States, featuring a double-header with the Manly Sea Eagles vs South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Sydney Roosters vs Brisbane Broncos. The Premiership trophy will be onsite for photographs and NRL official merchandise will be available for sale.

Following the introduction of the teams, the Fan Fest will host free live performances by Australian indie rock band Sheppard and one of Australia’s top DJ’s Stafford Brothers.

“Never before have we attempted a venture like this,” said NRL CEO Andrew Abdo. “So, it makes sense to launch the season in a unique way for fans in the US and Australia.”

This year, the NRL will launch the 2024 season with two simultaneous events taking place oceans apart – Las Vegas and Sydney. The Downtown Down Under fan event will feature the excitement of Las Vegas but will also importantly incorporate the simultaneous launch taking place in Sydney.
