Grammy-nominated guitarist, singer and songwriter, Kenny Wayne Shepherd will perform a free concert here at Fremont Street at 9:00 p.m. on Sep. 14, 2019.
This free show, part of our Downtown Rocks concert series, happens on our 3rd Street stage, near The D, Four Queens and Fremont casino.
Fans can gather under the iconic Viva Vision canopy as the Shepherd performs his hits including “Blue on Black,” “Lay It Down,” “Deja Voodoo” and “Woman Like You.”

With more than 20 years in his recording career, Kenny Wayne Shepherd established himself as a recording artist at the age of 16 when he signed his first record deal and released his debut album, “Ledbetter Heights,” which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard Top Blues Albums.
After delivering four more albums, Shepherd released his first live album, “Live! In Chicago,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Blues chart and featured guest appearances by legendary blues artists including Hubert Sumlin, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith and Bryan Lee.
Shepherd teamed up with veteran rockers Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg to form The Rides and went on to produce two more acclaimed albums.
Shepherd has since released his eighth studio album, “Lay It Down,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Blues and spent seven weeks at the top of the charts.
