On May 31, 2019, Grammy Award-winning artists/producers, The Chainsmokers, took over Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas to celebrate the official worldwide premiere of their new Viva Vision light and sound show.
During the event, thousands of fans gathered to witness the six-minute musical montage featuring the EDM duo’s chart-topping hits, “Closer,” “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Something Just Like This.”
The Chainsmokers stuck around after the debut of the light show to schmooze with fans, sign autographs and take selfies.
Notably, they pair broke onto the music scene in 2014 with their massive hit, “#Selfie.”
The Chainsmokers light show is the first to debut since the start of a $32 million renovation to the iconic Viva Vision canopy. The renovated screen will debut on Dec. 31, 2019, New Year’s Eve.
The new Chainsmokers light show joins a stellar line-up of artists featured on the Viva Vision screen, including Green Day, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Tiesto and others.
The next new show, featuring the hits of DJ/producer Steve Aoki, goes live on June 13. Aoki will play a free, live DJ set in honor of the world premiere. Learn more.
