The Las Rageous metal music festival has truly come into its own.
The 2018 installment, held April 20-21 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, a block off Fremont Street, drew a whopping 20,000 people to the outdoor venue.
The two-day event hosted music fans from around the world for performances by bands like A Perfect Circle, Five Finger Death Punch, Judas Priest and A Day to Remember.
Here are some highlights of Las Rageous 2018.
The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center is owned and operated by the owners of The D and Golden Gate casinos, partner casinos of Fremont Street Experience.
Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center said, “I was thrilled to see the outstanding local support we had for this year’s Las Rageous. We had a full house and there was no better feeling than knowing so many of our attendees came from our great city. The energy in venue was through the roof as fans rushed center stage to see their favorite bands give unforgettable performances.”
Other bands included Clutch, In This Moment, Underoath, Saxon, New Years Day, Hollywood Undead, Pop Evil, Black Star Riders, Otherwise, VYCES, Adelitas Way, Joyous Wolf, DED, Bad Wolves, Slaves and Silence Speaks.
The big turnout at this year’s Las Rageous is all the more impressive given it’s just the second time the event has been held.
The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center has quickly become a hub of live entertainment, folding perfectly into the downtown entertainment landscape.
The venue has hosted a variety of events, including concerts and festivals (everything from rock to EDM), sports viewing parties, extreme sports competitions and others.
The DLVEC can hold up to 11,000 people, a number it maxed out on the second night of Las Rageous.
