As part of our SlotZilla Charity Challenge series, we proudly donated $17,244 to Spread the Word Nevada, a local children’s literacy nonprofit.
On Feb. 25, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., 100% of SlotZilla revenue was donated to Spread the Word Nevada.

“We are thrilled so many people came down and supported Spread the Word Nevada by flying on Slotzilla,” said Thomas Bruny, Director of Marketing of Fremont Street Experience. “We had an extremely successful day and ended up setting the largest weekday SlotZilla Charity Challenge record with $17,244. All that money will go to this terrific organization dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands and homes of children within Southern Nevada’s at-risk, low income communities. They buy books at a dollar each, so that means 17,244 new books.”
Spread the Word Nevada has donated 3.3 million books to more than 420,000 low-income children and their families in Southern Nevada since 2001. Find out more about this amazing nonprofit that’s making such a difference in our community.
Our SlotZilla Charity Challenge series has raised $162,612 for local charities to-date.
