Benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association by Flying Slotzilla

SlotZilla

There are ziplines, then there's SlotZilla.

On April 16, 2015, Fremont Street Experience hosts its next SlotZilla Charity Challenge, a series of events benefiting Las Vegas charities.

From noon to 6:00 p.m. on April 16, 100% of SlotZilla Zipline and Zoomline ticket sales go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Find out more about downtown’s SlotZilla zip line ride, and learn more about the MDA, below.

You can also visit the MDA’s official Web site.

The charity event for MDA will be held in conjunction with the 2015 Firefighters of Southern Nevada Boot Drive. The International Association of Firefighters is MDA’s largest national sponsor.

The annual Firefighters of Southern Nevada Boot Drive, which also benefits the MDA, takes place May 8, 14 and 15, at Fremont Street Experience and other locations. On those dates, local firefighters will have a fire truck parked at Casino Center Blvd. and Fremont Street and will accept donations for MDA from visitors to Fremont Street Experience (in their boots, naturally). The annual local boot drive generates donations for the Nevada Chapter of the MDA and helps provide services for 700 Nevada families.

A media event will kick-off the SlotZilla Charity Challenge on April 16, featuring firefighters “racing” against representatives from the MDA on SlotZilla’s upper Zoomline.

We couldn’t wait for the labor day telethon! We’re proud to partner with the mda on april 16.

“We are excited to partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Firefighters of Southern Nevada, especially for how they give back to the community,” said Jeff Victor, President of Fremont Street Experience. “We support the Firefighters of Southern Nevada boot drive that takes place every year to raise money for the MDA. This event on Thursday, April 16 is a fantastic way for supporters to come down to Fremont Street and have a great time for a great cause.”

Fly slotzilla and make a difference in the community.

Again, all SlotZilla tickets sold from noon to 6:00 p.m. on April 16 go directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and we’re pleased to be able to help a nonprofit making such a big difference in our community. SlotZilla tickets can be purchased online or at the SlotZilla box office near the base of the SlotZilla take-off tower.

To-date, the SlotZilla Charity Challenge series has resulted in more than $52,000 being donated to local charities. Other partner organizations include Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada, American Heart Association, Opportunity Village, Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
