Aug 30, 2014 - 8:15 pm - 12:45 am

This all-star line-up is sure to rock your summer as part of our “Rock of Vegas” summer concert series. It’s free and open to the public!

The special concert starts at 9:00 p.m. on our 1st Street Stage, next to Binion’s and across from Golden Nugget.

Here’s a breakdown of the evening’s entertainment:

    • Local H, 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 (30 minutes)
    • Royal Bliss, 9:10 p.m. to 9:55 p.m. (45 minutes)
    • Drowning Pool, 10:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. (60 minutes)
    • Fuel, 11:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. (75 minutes)

Fuel formed in 1993 while playing the club circuit in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The band signed to Sony and in 1998, released their well-received debut album, Sunburn. The album resulted in their hit, “Shimmer.”

Fuel’s second album, Something Like Human, hit multi-platinum status with the singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” followed by 2003’s Natural Selection.

The fact Fuel and Filter are on the same bill isn't lost on us.

Fuel’s original band name was Small the Joy.

Here’s a quick listen to Fuel.

Drowning Pool is an alternative metal band that formed in 1996. The band features guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton, drummer Mike Luce and vocalist Jasen Moreno.

Drowning Pool

Drowning Pool was named, perhaps not surprisingly, after the 1975 movie of the same name, starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

Drowning Pool is perhaps best known for its sometimes-misinterpreted hit, “Bodies.”

Royal Bliss formed in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1997 and has released eight studio albums. Royal Bliss features Neal Middleton (lead vocal, guitar), Taylor Richards (guitars, vocals), Dwayne Crawford (bass, vocals) and Jake Smith (drums, percussion).

Their new album, Chasing The Sun, was released in February 2014.

Local H rounds out the line-up. This alt-rock duo features Scott Lucas (vocals) and drummer Ryan Harding.

They’re perhaps best-known for their hit song, “Bound for the Floor.” Their newest album is Hallelujah! I’m a Bum.
