“Purple Reign” Prince Tribute Show Comes to The D Las Vegas

If your philosophy’s “Let’s Go Crazy” when you’re in Las Vegas, The D has a new show that’s right up your alley.

“Purple Reign,” a popular Prince tribute show, opened at The D on June 26, 2014. “Purple Reign” runs Thursdays through Sundays at 10:30 p.m.

The undeniable star of “Purple Reign” is talented tribute artist Jason Tenner, backed by a powerhouse band. The show features all the Prince hits you know and love.

Jason Tenner has performed as Prince for more than two decades.

Tenner and his “Purple Reign” collaborators have entertained Las Vegas audiences for years, and the group was featured on AXS TV’s “The Worlds Greatest Tribute Bands.”

Jason Tenner is known as an “impersonator’s impersonator,” and says he has watched Prince’s iconic film, “Purple Rain,” more times than he can count to nail Prince’s moves. Tickets for “Purple Reign” run $47.50 for general admission, and $68.50 for VIP seating. There’s also a “Purple Velvet VIP” ticket, for $85.50, that includes priority seating, a meet-and-greet with Jason Tenner and the rest of the cast, a souvenir photo and complimentary cocktail.

“Purple Reign” joins a diverse line-up of entertainment at The D. The hotel also hosts singer and funnyman Frankie Scinta; Marriage Can Be Murder, touted as the longest-running dinner show in Vegas; and comedy-magician Adam London.
